The site is immediately charming and inviting, with a sweet pink color scheme and appropriate ribbon design throughout. Beginning at the top of the page with a textured pink border, the eBay store design features the clever BBCrafts’ logo (scissors spell out the two Bs) and a handy site search box with a Go button that looks like a silver slice of ribbon peeking out on one side.
A wide pink ribbon is “threaded” through the next section of this design. Each sliver of trimming holds an item on the navigation menu, including Home, About, Policies, Contact and FAQs, which, when clicked, take shoppers directly to the corresponding page.
A shiny pink banner bears the Start Shopping section along with information on the store’s free shipping policy, payment options, satisfaction guarantee and Start Shopping button that resembles the same shimmering silver ribbon as the Go button at the top of the page. The lower half of the banner is adorned with the image of several rolls of colorful ribbon, giving shoppers a preview of what they will find inside.
Product images in neon hues draw customers’ eyes to the Categories section, and the Featured Items area includes four highlighted products with corresponding descriptions, images and prices. Both the Categories and Featured Items have light pink borders and wide pink ribbon embellishments.
The Deal of the Week owns the spot in the upper-left side of the page, complete with a vivid image, brief description, deal price and time left to buy. Beneath this is a complete category list and reasons to shop with the retailer in bold pink lettering, consistent with the rest of the eBay store design.
