In addition to all the custom eBay stores we work on at OCDesignsonline, we create custom websites and even custom Amazon stores. Our client at Ruthy’s Outlet approached us to put design a quality site for selling the products carried by the store. We wanted to highlight the variety of products offered by our client while making the storefront look amazing.

We went with the same red that’s in Ruthys Outlet’s logo for the main color on the site. That way, there’s a sense of consistency that is drawn through the entire site. Red is a color that demands we pay attention to it (after all, stop signs are red), so we thought it would be perfect for drawing customers into the store.


Let customers know who you are and what you sell

When creating an ecommerce site, it is important for customers to know right away what it is you’re selling. Ruthy’s Outlet is no different. That’s why we made sure that the header image was of a fashion-forward woman rocking the latest trends. She is put together, and the image we selected blends with the colors of the site, making everything flow together in terms of tone. This conveys to the customer that the store is well put together, fashion forward, and has quality products.

Everything customers need to know about this custom Amazon store

We made sure customers could find information about this store’s policies and practices quickly and easily by creating a custom header for the store. Everything a customer needs to find – including his or her shopping cart – is located in the menu bar. From contact information to FAQ, we made sure that Ruthy’s Outlet is easily navigated.

Clickable buttons and a sidebar menu make it easy to find products

We created image-driven menu buttons for each of the categories of products carried by Ruthy’s Outlet. This way, customers have an easy way of sorting through the site. From women’s clothing to accessories and home decor the site is easy to browse through for those who are just “window shopping.”

Featured products make impulse purchases easy

We made it easy for our client to share featured items with customers. At the bottom of the custom Amazon storefront we created, our client can highlight products that are special, on sale, or new. This helps to increase the click through rate and encourage purchases. To the left of the “featured products” area, customers will find information about our client’s participation in the Amazon Prime program.
