Deposits, questionnaires, who you talk to and how long things take — the answers new clients ask for most.
Getting started
What are the first steps?
We send a deposit invoice and a new-project questionnaire. As soon as both are back, you are assigned a designer, and your first custom mock-up arrives in about 5–7 business days.
Why do you ask for a deposit?
Everything we make is custom and labour-heavy. Projects over $400 start with a 50% deposit; projects of $400 or less are paid in full up front.
When does work start?
As soon as your designer receives your completed questionnaire.
Can it go faster?
Yes — rush delivery is available for an extra fee. Complete, prompt questionnaire answers also speed things up a lot.
The questionnaire
Do I have to fill out the questionnaire?
Yes. It sets both the look and the functionality of your design, so it is the most important step.
What if I don’t understand a question?
Call, email or message us and we will explain it.
What if I have no opinion on a question?
Give us a general direction — for example “warm colours” — and we will take it from there.
Why not just use your own judgement?
There are many styles, and we want you to end up with something you like and are proud of. Your answers make that possible.
Working together
Who works on my project?
At least three people: a project manager, a dedicated web designer and a certified programmer who codes and installs your design.
Who do I ask what?
Design feedback goes to your designer, technical questions to your programmer, and anything at all to your project manager.
Can I call?
Yes, you can call your project manager. Design feedback goes on the online discussion board, so nothing gets lost.
Where are you, and when are you open?
Our office is in South Jersey, near Ocean City. We work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm Eastern; the discussion board is open 24/7 and we usually reply within one business day.
Timelines & revisions
How long does each step take?
First mock-up: 5–7 business days. Each revision: 3–5 business days. Installation: 7–10 business days after final payment and logins. These are estimates, not guarantees.
How many revisions are included?
Up to two layout concepts and four revision rounds per store, template or site. Logos include three concepts and two revision rounds. Extra rounds can be added.
What happens after launch?
You get 14 days of free text and link fixes after installation. Changes after that are billed at our hourly rate — and we stay a phone call away.
Who owns the design?
You own your logo, product images and text. We keep the copyright on the design layout and never resell your design to anyone else.
